Thanks to the generous support of our 2016 Annual Gala donors and
sponsors, we raised over $475,000 – once again, breaking records for our
signature event of the year!! Over 350 guests enjoyed an extremely energetic
evening, filled with inspirational singing, high bidding and heart-warming
stories of how Little Moments truly do result in Big Magic.
We want to once again thank all of the individuals,
community organizations and businesses that supported this year's event. We are
especially grateful to our lead sponsor, PwC, who not only supported the gala,
but is also committed to increasing the number of Bay Area children who have
access to a Big Brother or Big Sister throughout the entire year. Additionally,
without the generosity of our speakers, Libby Schaaf and Sabin Lomac, and M.C.
Dan Ashley, none of this would have been possible.
It was reiterated throughout the evening, yet it is worth stating again.
Mentorship changes lives. Libby remarked
on how her experience as a mentor gave her the push she needed to leave her
corporate law firm and enter the public sector. Sabin Lomac noted that his Big Brother Steve is directly responsible for
the success he has been able to achieve, and we know that the same is true for
our Littles. Our goal is to provide every Bay Area child with that same
opportunity, the opportunity to enter into a life-changing, life-saving
relationship that will impact their lives for the better...forever.
