Grab a snack, relax and join BBBS staff to watch Disney Pixar’s movie, Coco! This movie is about a young boy named Miguel who dreams of becoming a great musician. He embarks on a journey to uncover the truth about his ancestors and their traditions.

ZUMBA + MEDITATION w/ TARA
Join our Zumba Instructor Tara for a monthly series of dance and cardio hip hop routines, that will get the body moving and the heart pumping! This dance routine will be centered around releasing stress and improving mind and body wellness. Each class will end with a 15-minute guided meditation. All levels of fitness are invited to join.

POETRY + PERSONAL NARRATIVES: USING YOUR VOICE FOR ACTION
In celebration of National Poetry Month, we will explore poetry and writing as a way of expressing who you are and making a difference in your corner of the world. Participants will get a brief intro to poetry and storytelling and learn how their words can be used to advocate for yourself and others. Workshop will be facilitated by Marissa May Martinez, local playwright and poet.

PAINTING W/ PAINT A THOUSAND LIVES
Paint a Thousand Lives will lead our class through a 1-hour paint session for youth in Elementary and Middle School. Bigs and Little’s are invited to participate in our very first paint session with a Teaching Artist from Paint a Thousand Lives.
